Hello.
Nice to meet you.
We know you are frustrated by continuing governance failures that threaten your African businesses and reputation. Like you, we share aspirations for entrepreneurship and the private sector to be vehicles for Africa's growth. But we fear a challenging governance environment will shatter the hopes of many entrepreneurs and maim or kill good businesses.
Olatowun Candide-Johnson and I have formed the Butterfly Coalition to find and disseminate pragmatic, locally relevant solutions, and to mobilise women across the continent as a catalyst for change.
Africa's successful transformation grounded in sustainable enterprise depends on this.
We offer resources to help you and your business and we are a change movement that will earn you respect and recognition.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Join us.
Best regards,
Pamela Watson
Hello from me!
I’m very pleased that you are thinking of joining our coalition. It means quite simply that you’re looking for solutions! And this is what Pamela and I will bring to you.
The purpose of good governance is to help build an environment of trust, transparency, accountability, and control all of which are necessary for fostering long-term investment, financial stability and business integrity and sustainability for any company, government and society.
Why you ask? Because without good governance or as a result of poor governance or no governance, serious avoidable problems are encountered.
In Nigeria, Africa and to be fair in many other parts of the world, systemic and cultural challenges exist.
Therefore, what we need, especially as women, are the strategies to address these challenges including unconscious biases; how we improve visibility, influence and voice, attain the correct skillset and ability to understand governance principles and processes in order to properly challenge and contribute effectively on boards.
Want to be a catalyst for change? Join us and never look back!
